YOU Can Celebrate High School - Space Coast Christian Co-op

 

Whether fresh out of the blocks on the first leg of the high school adventure or heading toward the finish line, high school is a time to be celebrated.  Cheryl will answer common questions asked by students and parents as they work together toward turning the tassel.  Topics include planning ahead, understanding graduation requirements, building credits, grading assignments, calculating grade point averages, writing effective course descriptions, preparing transcripts and supporting documents, tailoring paperwork to the student's strengths, college admission testing, submitting college applications, and finding scholarship money.

NearHim Home Educators Parent Enrichment Meeting

Cheryl Bastian, author of Celebrate High School, will encourage parents walking the middle and high school journey. Lori Bosse, Bethany Durys, and Sarah Margheim will facilitate a discussion on homeschooling the early years. 

This month’s meeting provides encouragement and information for homeschooling all ages. Two sessions will run simultaneously:
* Parents of middle and high school students
* Parents of preschool and elementary students. 

Cheryl Bastian, author of Celebrate High School, will encourage parents walking the middle and high school journey. In her presentation, she will include

  • What your middle and high schoolers wants you to know about them and how they learn.
  • How walking alongside your middle and high schoolers as they navigate their interests, dreams, and aspirations will impact their education and their future.
  • What to consider as you plan for high school, employment, and college admission.
  • How to incorporate Living Books and everyday tasks into course content and get high school credit for doing so!

Cheryl will end her session with time for questions!

A panel of experienced moms will provide a Q and A session for parents of preschool through elementary aged students.

Lori Bosse, Bethany Durys, and Sarah Margheim will facilitate a discussion on homeschooling the early years. They will also share some ideas and resources they have used with their children as well as what mattered in their days.
