Cheryl, I just wanted to thank you for your help and for your book Celebrate High School! It proved to be invaluable to me! Our son was accepted into six universities: Boston University, New York University, American University, University of San Francisco, University of Tampa, and University of Miami. We are so excited for his next steps and are praying for direction. Again, thank you for your wisdom!
— Kris D.

Cheryl, I can’t even express in words my appreciation for you. Your consultation with us two years ago helped our young adult’s dream become a reality. Today we received notice of admission to the United States Air Force Academy. Thank you for encouraging us and helping us realize his goal was possible!
— A grateful mom

As twenty-four year veteran homeschooling parents, Mike and Cheryl understand the value of one-on-one encouragement.

Along their family home education journey both Mike and Cheryl have appreciated and benefited from opportunities to sit down, consult with others ahead of them on the path.

They now enjoy offering this encouragement to others.

Cheryl enjoys meeting with parents in regards to their specific family-educational needs. She is often asked for insight on everything from educational philosophy and implementation to developing a high school course of study and transcript which captures the unique abilities and interests of young adults. Cheryl prioritizes time in her schedule to provide for these times of encouragement. She offers personal, individualized consultation in thirty- and sixty- minute sessions based on the number and complexity of questions. However, as her family seasons wax and wane, the time she has to set aside for individual meetings varies.

Consultations can be set up to answer questions in regards to:

  • investigating home education
  • teaching little learners
  • choosing curriculum
  • scheduling
  • looking toward for middle school
  • planning for high school and beyond
  • preparing college admission documentation

Mike partners with parents, teens and young adults. His role is unique, often meeting with parents and teens as they work and process through next steps. His knowledge and experience: twenty-seven years parenting eight children, fifteen years coaching little league to high school sports, and twenty-eight years of teaching middle school students. Mike offers perspective and insight others often miss or have not considered.

Consultations can be set up to answer questions in regards to:

  • parenting teens and young adults
  • looking toward for middle school
  • planning for high school and beyond
  • preparing for and decision making toward college admission

Mike and Cheryl purpose to answer many questions by email within 48 hours of receipt; however, please understand they cannot answer detailed questions adequately by this means of communication. Family needs and learning plans are unique, and Mike and Cheryl are particularly sensitive to making sure information they provide is accurate, timely, and individualized. There are often no formulaic answers to questions parents have and Mike and Cheryl honor and respect the distinctive needs of your family and children.

Mike and Cheryl will not interpret state statutes and will not give legal advice. Parents are fully responsible to know, understand, and interpret their state's home education requirements.
